25th Anniversary

The men in my life...

 Classic...Dad talking and the "look".

Last night at sea and we snagged the guys for photos.
We were ditched for dinner by two kids
and thankful for the one who joined us.
Pictures for a mother's memories...

 The Silver Aniversary.
We were happy to celebrate our 25th anniversary the last night of the cruise.
We never really dreamed of taking a trip for this day but it worked out nicely to celebrate R's birthday and mine with our anniversary tucked between.

 Enjoyed our dinner mates, Bob and Sam and their kids..

Brad and Melissa. Who enjoyed our boys as we also got a kick out of their two awesome kids...

Psalm 139....Sand

Favorite Beach Shots

O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
                        You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
                                              You understand my thought from afar.

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold,You are there.
 If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
 Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me.

 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand.
When I awake, I am still with You.

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;

Seashells in my pocket...sand in my shoes....

Beach Day

Just a neat view at night with all the lights on.

Sometimes I say, "I'm so tired I could sleep on concrete."
OMG, that man is watching me take his picture! LOL
I couldn't resist.

Look, we ran into two of the boys...

Stories to tell about Cozumel and my boys...Think long and hard when taking teen boys.

 Jansen

 Stefan
 And Dustin...whose name was washed with the tide.

Going back...you have to take these pictures. You just have to.

 The man who takes me to tea and to the beach when he really doesn't like the ocean.
He found a nice shady spot for a three hour nap.

Love it when they dock side by side.

And not much is in the water for all that sticks up. LOL

Cruise Activities

My husband kindly had tea with me. Although he's not a hot tea
kind of man he dove into the chocolates and that made it worth while for him.

We dressed semi formal for dressy night after a touch of sun.

Docking in Progresso isn't fun if you're not on excursions...and we opted out.
But, there's much to be said about a near empty ship.

I found a painter ultra talented in painting ships on plates.

The best thing about docking was getting this shot of the ship.

Ah, return to the ship and ready to set sail.

Next stop, Cozumel & the beach.

Sailing...Take me away.....

I had a thought a few weeks ago. I realized I had to miss a week of work during Spring Break...my adult kids would be out of college and high school...no one was working a job they couldn't miss.
In ten years we have not had a vacation with our boys. That's too long.
Enter: Spring Break Carribean Cruise 2012

We left at 3:00am to drive to New Orleans. Tops, we had 1.5 hours of sleep and took turns driving.The boys were excited to cruise and we quickly unloaded to jump aboard.

Walking across the gangway to board. We can't wait!

A look at the Voyager of the Seas, Royal Carribean's huge ship that R & I took
a few years ago. It was docked behind us and looked enormous. How quickly we forget.

We were starving and so happy to have pizza and fruit for snack.

Our first dinner the boys came and after seeing the menu opted out.
Dustin did try the smoked duck with Thai glass noodles.
It was wonderful.

Oh the beauty of passing another ship at night.

R & I enjoyed more pizza for late night snack on the back of the ship.
From here on we would only get glimpses of the guys...like
this one as they enjoy breakfast the day we docked in Progresso.
